I’m a new triathlete in my 50s. I’ve been a runner Half and Full marathon runner for a number of years. I discovered the podcast and swim foundations in 2021 when I decided to do my first Sprint distance. Unfortunately a major shoulder injury on the bike forced me to postpone until 2022. The...Read full review »

Horrible start to your last podcast. Bad form, Taren, to discuss how you had 100 drinks over 4 days and swam in a pool in your own puke. I hung with you through your image issues during Covid. But I’m out now. You act like you’re too much of an expert when you’re not. Unsubscribing after...Read full review »

Long time listener and happy to see it starting to get back to the basics and back on track. I think the addition of a British accent is also lovely. Keep doing what you are doing!

I am a healthcare provider in my 50s and more recently novice triathlete since 2019. Found Taren in 2020 and listen to his podcasts and watch his YouTube videos. I have thoroughly enjoyed and been well served by his content and advice and appreciate his positivity. The experts he has on podcasts...Read full review »

Great podcast, but I hope it doesn’t transition to strictly beginner endurance podcast, as most of the content lately.

A complete and continuing body of work, both in respect to using professional advice from keynote content providers plus the self use of the experiment of one. I’m an improving Tri age grouper who appreciates the effort the Mottiv team has put in.

Loves to talk about his endurance swim, curling, and one and only IM distance race … all the time. Cringy.

I’ve listened now for several years and watched many of the videos. I’ve done dozens of marathons and then into ultras then triathlon. But I am not elite and chasing those who are leads to frustration and injury. I appreciate the new direction. I love to hear the elites and their plans but...Read full review »

Eye-opening comments on an important topic. And very insightful.

Not liking the Layman to Laypreacher approach, much prefer mainstream perceived wisdom. Wish you well Taren.

To produce such high quality content on a weekly basis is quite the feat! Love the variety in speakers and topics. Also Taren and NTK are good interviewers and enjoyable to listen to.

I’m a late night comedy host from Armenia and I’m in my 3rd season of triathlon. Taren’s podcast is easily my favorite triathlon podcast around. Cool guests, lots of essential info and fun to listen. Keep it up guys. If you see 1 download from Armenia every time, that’s me. ;) Cheers, Narek.

I love listening on the long rides and runs. The content is great for a beginner like me. I appreciate the deep dive discussions on nutrition and techniques from the pros. I especially liked the James Nestor interview. I purchased the Breathe audiobook after that episode. And the “Everything...Read full review »

Great variety of content here; I’d suggest asking more questions to your guests instead of imposing an answer at them to which you want them to respond to.

Really happy to find this podcast. Being a 54 year old very average age grouper doing my first tri 4 years ago. This podcast is great it has help motivate me and to improve my times greatly. It’s not over technical but very informative and gives a huge range of topics. I would say it’s a must to...Read full review »

The Breath podcast triggered me to leave a 5 star review. I’ve been listening to your podcasts for a while (and following YouTube) and I’ve started to appreciate the great content more and more. It’s a great balance for me between detail and attention span. Keep up the great work!!

Been listening to this podcast for almost 6 months, and pretty much got through all of them... Yes it is a podcast for triathlon, but it is way much more than that. Taren goes into great detail about fitness, science, physiology, mind set and even if you don’t agree then welcome critical...Read full review »

I’m listening to several different podcasts about triathlon and training, but Taren’s podcast is clearly my favorite.

Taren will do and say anything if it gets him free stuff. He’s not even very good at triathlon.
sodofitz via Apple Podcasts · United States of America · 10/12/20
This is an amazing podcast. Has made me re-evaluate my whole outlook on training. A bit more thought and less charging about like an idiot! Thanks loads!

Honest, and down to earth, highly entertaining. Taren is spot on with his interviews and Kim provides a reality check as she reels it back from becoming over technical. The guests are not just the top athletes in the business which bring a sense of connection for age group athletes like me. This...Read full review »

I just completed my first super sprint triathlon. My goal was simply to finish. I learned more that I needed from Taren’s down-to-earth, advice than from everyone else combined. MM

Great timely guests. Taren needs to talk less about himself and his shuffle board experience and stop interrupting Kim. She has great open ended questions that gets the guests rolling.

I really like to listen to Triathlon Taren, NTK and their guests. I’m not only enjoying the training tips and shared knowledge around everything Triathlon, but also the insight into motivations, life styles and experiences of the guests. Listening to this podcast makes a Zwift workout fly by.
Heike N via Apple Podcasts · United States of America · 09/02/20
Some good interviews and interesting segments... however it is a drag listening to Taren talk about himself so much. Mate, let your interview subjects tell the stories and keep the spotlight off yourself a bit!
Kalmc via Apple Podcasts · Australia · 08/09/20
I love Taren’s YouTube videos and his podcasts are the same feel with more detail and information! Great motivation for my training

Taren and NTK are fun and very informative in the triathlon world. Thank you for the good information and keep the good work Christian

At the point the guest made such pseudoscientific claims as”CBD clears the cell membranes” I had to stop listening to the rubbish. The sad thing is, some people will take it as “truth” coming from a doctor, but the doctor in question had no clue about biochemistry nor cell biology.

You can tell he does his homework for each guest. Very informative.
