“I like this podcast overall, but was livid listening to the garbage advice being given out by the unlicensed "nutritional therapy practitioner," Tiana Rochwell, about hormones, and in particular hormone-based birth control methods. I'm a licensed pharmacist and someone who publishes in women's health and I can tell you that much of what she shared was complete nonsense. She should really consider pulling an endocrinology textbook once in a while just to understand how the body actually works. Birth control pills do not make people have estrogen levels above what is physiologic. It's a negative feedback cycle! She said to switch to Nuva Ring to avoid systemic hormones. Wrong! I like Kristian and his wife very much and I like how they focus on training psychology and more natural methods, but please screen more carefully! Anyone giving medical advice (i.e. advising to stop birth control pills) like this should have the requisite training and should be a licensed practitioner in the field.”Read full review »
