“This podcast is a great balance of true crime narrative, research, fair and smart discussion, and boozy fun. I really appreciate the summary of the story they have at the beginning of each episode so that we know what's happening before the guys start discussing. They clearly do their research and I think they both do a good job of providing commentary while keeping their bias to a minimum. The fact that they drink a different craft beer during each episode helps to add a little levity to the otherwise dark topics. Also, they choose interesting cases that haven't already been covered a million times by other podcasts (and I've listened to allllllll the true crime podcasts currently on ITunes). By the end of each episode, the guys are a little buzzed, but they never get hammered and super annoying or disrespectful. Sometimes, towards the end, the Captain will say something random (inspired by the beer) and Nic will ignore him and just keep the show going.
