“I only recently discovered this podcast, heard it recommended on another podcast, I started from one of the more recent episodes, as you always should, and it was so good I went back to the first episode and listened to them in order, putting aside all my usual weekly TC fare until I was done. (There's almost 50 eps: O HAPPY DAYS!)
Well presented and amazing research plus unique and compelling and at times, shocking stories you won't have heard.
One thing I really love is Nicole, the host, doesn't feel the need to pander to an overseas audience by translating ever single thing unique to South Africa. It can really slow down the pace of a story (how many times have you heard, for example, "in Australia a thong is footwear.) She does translate some unique South African words, and I think that's enough, the context of the story allows you to piece together what's going on if you don't know what something is.
I have learned so much about South Africa! Having met loads on the old ubiquitous trip to the UK in the 90's, I already knew most were pretty rad, but it was a somewhat one dimensional view. This podcast has opened me up to the complicated layers of the nation of South Africa.”Read full review »

“I absolutely love listening to Nicoles’s podcast every week. She does such an amazing job at bringing across the story and giving the victims a voice.
Well done Nicole!!!”
