Nicole I love your show I’ve been listening for two years now but since he escaped last year I’ve been wanting an episode

I liked the writing, which is crisp, and the smooth, even delivery. The insights into social aspects of the crimes help me to understand some of the larger contexts and issues involved. Thank you for all your work.

I absolutely love this podcast! Your research is next level and you compassion for the victims are heartwarming. My only complaint is that I need more to listen to!

I’d rather listen to the facts of the crime without the personal opinions and comments of the narrator - perhaps comment at the end - I am, unfortunately, turned off. Sorry.

What a riveting (terribly sad) journey. The host is incredible!! I cannot recommend this enough! Nicole has an incredible way to portray the case with so much emotion yet remaining objective in her findings and conclusions. Her personal touch and respect for the victims does not go unnoticed and...Read full review »

Content very well researched. Delivery is excellent. Nicole is empathetic and her remarks thought provoking. Her voice is calm and soothing and I wish I could buy her a cup of coffee and discuss more true crime with her. Love this podcast!

I listen to several crime podcasts similar to this one where it is a story told with facts rather than chatting etc, and this one is my least favourite. I find her voice not all that soothing or interesting and there is no atmospheric music at all to raise up the production a bit to the level of...Read full review »

I live this podcast especially because it is victim focused. And I am sure Nicole puts in a lot of work into this, and it is evident from the detail that she is able to go into. And her voice and pace is also amazing, her story telling capabilities are very good. I highly recommend listening to...Read full review »

I enjoy the storytelling and level of detail in this podcast, but wish it were more representative of overall violent crime demographics in South Africa. The vast, vast majority of violent crime and murder victims are black men, but the podcasts disproportionately focuses on crimes with white...Read full review »

She’s Very Good, been listening since 2020(I did catch up on her shows). Her research is so GOOD and reference all her sources. I love how she never give the people who commit the crimes too much attention but tries to make us know the victims and who they were, unlike the media we are exposed...Read full review »

Very well told tales of South African crime! The facts are laid out coherently with many details you won’t really find elsewhere. Unlike other podcasts, this isn’t all over the place, with too many presenters all speaking their opinions and jumping from here to there. The only problem I have is...Read full review »

I have always been a fan of true crime documentaries and this podcast is everything! I love listening to an episode as I fall asleep but often end up listening to the end. Really love the sound and the deep dive in each episode.

I’ve started listening to this show after Minisode 41, The death of Dora and Rorisang Matseme. Particularly because this crime happened a few streets away from my house and it was the most devastating experience since I moved into the community. I am happy at the level of detail that this show...Read full review »

Nicole is the best crime narrator after Peter Thomas ( who narrates forensic files) And I appreciate that the podcast is victim focused whilst still showing how sinister the perpetrators are. My only complaint is that Nicole pronounces often as Off-TEN instead of ORPHAN but I’ve gotten so used...Read full review »

I happened on this one wet Cape Town afternoon, when I’m slowly limiting my need to binge on series … the few stories told gave chills and left me intrigued and in such a rush for the next episode.
