“As someone who follows a moderately low carb lifestyle, I used to enjoy this podcast as a discussion of low carb health benefits such as balanced blood sugar/etc.
I was really disappointed to hear episode 028 promoting losing your period/only getting your period once a year as a “health benefit” of keto. Not getting a period can be a sign of major underlying health issues such as PCOS, hypothalamic amenorrhea, or extreme stress and shouldn’t be something to congratulate someone on.
Hoping that Dan will promote a better understanding of women’s health in the future and include pain-free, regular periods as an important part of women’s health, especially since I do believe a low carb lifestyle can help women improve their cycles.”
