A great podcast.
Let's me get this straight. I don't even use iTunes to listen to Thersa. I listened to her podcast on Spotify, but Spotify doesn't have a review section and so here I am writing review for "Uncanny Japan". I have only listened to Thersa for a few weeks now but I love everything about it, her voice, her content etc. She is really talented at telling horror stories. But you would be wrong in assuming that this podcast is all about ghost stories. Thersa's podcast is about everything Japanese that you couldn't find on newspaper, TV or anime. Superstitions and horror stories are important parts of any culture, and Thersa tells it very well in her podcast. If you are looking to understand Japanese culture, folktales or superstition better. This is the right podcast for you. I would just wish that her podcast is longer, like 30 minutes so that I can listen on my way to work.Read full review »

This is truly one of my favorites. Thersa Matsuura has such a nice voice. I love how we get to hear the background sounds of Japan for the ambience of urban legends, or religious thought, or sometimes just creepy stuff. I learn something new every listen right before bed!
