“I’ve been listening to this podcast for many years and it’s always been excellent. I’ve learned things that I’d never have found in books. I do wish the episodes were longer, but that’s a testament to its quality rather than a complaint”

“Love learning about so many aspects of Japanese folklore. A little difficult to hear in a few episodes here and there as there are often ambient/background sound, but I found that it works best on headphones in a quiet environment. Really immersive that way.”

“I was searching such podcast for years and finally found it! The really great competence in cultural subjects
Also author’s voice is adorable and the background sounds remind me about my own visits to Japan”
“Just began listening in 2022, so I’m now returning to older episodes. Although it must be challenging to produce new material after several years of podcasting , the newer episodes seem even better than older ones!”
“I absolutely adore this podcast, it’s one of the very few I’ve consistently listened to over the years. I really connect with Thersa’s storytelling style and enjoy being transported listening to her tales. The level of detail and references are appreciated, too. Can hardly wait for the next one”
