The Best Podcast About Japan
Since even before Apple added podcasts to iTunes, I've been devouring EVERY podcast coming out of Japan by foreigners living there. I never miss an episode. My absolute favorite podcaster was Rich Pav of Herro Flom Japan fame, but unfortunately he's completely disappeared, which is a tragic loss for the world of podcasting. However, I've completely forgotten about his absence since I discovered Thersa Matsuura. I'm totally, completely and thoroughly enchanted (smitten???) by her voice and her storytelling, and recently the audio quality of her show has improved immensely, making it even better. I wish she put out a new episode every day--I could listen to her read the Tokyo Yellow Pages. Please support her on Patreon, she deserves every penny (or yen) she gets!Read full review »

More reviews of Uncanny Japan
High production value and haunting storytelling helps shed light onto Japanese folklore. Teresa is clear, concise and highlights stories that might otherwise never be heard by Western ears. Highly recommend!

I loved her podcast on the cicadas and also found the podcast on the "one"...Read full review »
