To the point, well sized seasons. I’ve listened to them back to back!

Nice story, but drawn out way too long. Could have been told in a couple of episodes.

I don’t agree with this technique at all. Charlie B .. pull the ego back mate. Police are funded ultimately by the taxpayers and they have a right to know. We know the cops use video surveillance we know they tap phones but we can’t know about Mr big trickery? Please. Get the verifiable beyond...Read full review »

Thx for the investigation

I’m really appreciating the depth of reporting, and detail amassed to tell this story. I’m finding fascinating. But in Ep5 you imply that the conviction was made on the (1 out of 3) confessions - alone? And let us go along asking “what about the weapons” the whole episode. Seems like deceptive...Read full review »

Fantastic investigation, questioning the many different aspects of police investigation techniques.

Congratulations to Alicia Bridges and team, tight writing and seamless production. Audio storytelling at its best. It’s amazing these Mr Big scenarios are still used - I thought everyone knew about them.

Binge listened to the latest season about Mr Big. Very well researched and interesting podcast, highly recommended especially to those interested in the justice system.

This tactic is unjust. We know children will say what they think adults want to hear. Poor people in need of money and inclusion are incredibly vulnerable and not so different to a child. Everything Mr Big offers is too good to be true but to vulnerable people it’s probably their least worst...Read full review »

Why the terrible audio when interviewing family and friends? Surely by season 6 that would have been worked out by now

It's not just an interesting story but Alicia raises an important question about policing. Food for thought.Read full review »

Love this series. The Mr Big case is intriguing, and I question of the case was heard in front of a magistrate only would it have been a guilty verdict. Thanks for some great research and story.

Was a good tactic. Until now

For release in Canada you should have made a different title, audiences will immediately know the “reveal” just by the title. This tactic is known as the Canadian technique and has been done dozens of times on Canadian true crime podcasts.

Have followed Unravel since Series 1 and everyone has been excellent. Recommended listening.

This sucked me right in. Production quality was excellent and the inclusion of the entire Wards family gave it a real sense of poignancy. The actor recreation of Lezlie’s American accent was a little over the top and made me LOL- but probably certain kinds of Kardashian-American accents sound...Read full review »

Excellent content but I can’t listen past episode 1 because of the curtain music volume. I wish there was an option to turn that off.

You really feel the passion in this journalism series. Great work.

I liked the story and felt for the victims but the actors’ exaggerated American accents for Lezley and Eric were a problem for me.

The narrator’s family entered into a bad business deal, and has used ABC as a weapon against the woman they blame, as well as her parents. The patriarch of the aggrieved family admits to hacking into the alleged perp’s email account. Rather than saving screenshots (which could imply some level of...Read full review »

Ollie had extraordinary psychological insight into Leslie. This was an engine that powered the podcast. But it also had a family element that is unusual. The final words from Greg are moving. I learned something about myself from this podcast.

I found this a great podcast, full of emotion as well as information. I’m an immigrant, but I’m from China of Russian immigrants who fled to China from Russia after the Russian Revolution. There are so many people looking for a place to belong. Ultimately, Australia does give us that place. I...Read full review »

I grew up in Perth but only have vague recollections of the events described in this podcast. Giving an insider’s perspective of what happened and how it effected the Asian community helped me gain a better understanding of that time. As a young person I was probably oblivious of the undercurrent...Read full review »

I remember this time in Perth. It is important to acknowledge and remember. We can never tolerate hatred for any reason and particularly as racism is totally irrational. I wonder if anyone ever asked van Tongeren why?
Neenie Z via Apple Podcasts · Australia · 10/29/23

Fantastic podcast from the Unravel creators as always!! This one was very touching in moments, definitely harrowing too, but not in a way where you need a break from the news for a year. Great content thoughtfully delivering stories that need to be heard by everyone in Australia and abroad!
