Please stop the side stuff. Makes it hard to listen to when the same voice is the “bad guy” in multiple stories. The stories are good though. I enjoy the facts and theories.

One of my favorite podcasts! They are able to “put me in the story” I can picture the scenario by the way they describe it. Keep it up!

Story telling is solid, and the cases would be interesting, but truly awful voice acting and contrived dialogue will make you turn it off. I’ve returned to this podcast again and again hoping I’ll be able to sit through it, but the re-enactments always have me deleting it again.

The sound effects and cheesy humor is a bit much. If you just tell the story with less flare it could be great.

Can you please put these in numerical order?? I listened to last weeks part 1 only to find another part 1 to a different story this week! Annoying!!!!

It’s a great show, just wish we were able to play them in numerical order. I always have to scroll down to play the next one on the list, instead of it playing the next episode on the list, it plays the most recent one aired.

Parcast has plenty of interesting content, and their voices are MADE for podcasting! Highly recommend, even if this specific channel may not be for you, they have plenty to offer, and continue to offer more!

The narrators are expressive and not overly dramatic. But this podcast includes dramatizations of the various stories.

These episodes are fantastic! If you’re looking for a new episode idea, the unsolved murder of Sweden’s Prime Minister Olof Palme rocked the world soon after the Kennedy assassination and it’s debated whether the investigation was just severely bungled or there was a larger cover up at play. I love the host voices, and the re-enactments too. It makes the story more real, and exciting! I can listen for hours! Thanks for such a great podcast!

Love parcast other series and already caught up on all the episodes, I keep trying to listen to this podcast while awaiting new episodes , but the voice actors are just irritating.

I absolutely love this podcast. I started listening to the first episode about 2 weeks ago & I can’t stop. I don’t know what these other reviews are talking about, I love the voice actors. It makes it more like a movie and puts it into a whole new perspective. They can be cheesy sometimes,...Read full review »

Love everything about these podcasts. I work 10 hour shifts at a metal factory, the hosts, voice actors, and in-depth stories make time FLY by.
Tristan Nava via Apple Podcasts · United States of America · 03/18/20
Can the re-enactments stop? Always poorly done and in my opinion, add nothing to the stories. Thank you for the weekly entertainment and information!

Yay
Love listening to this while doing math hw it’s super interesting and great for passing time or background noise. I wish with the coronavirus quarantine they would make more episodes. Please help make this happen!!!

The stories are excellent, the narration is amazing and engaging, factual yet still a followable narrative. However, I find the excessive use of the same actors who voice the fictional text distracting & also makes me just skip these bits (ironically, I don’t even miss any bits of the story...Read full review »

Hey guys, Awesome episodes so far. I’m on 13 of season 1. But when carter introduces the episodes he says the wrong number that were actually on, lol.example- on 13 he says 12. Otherwise keep up the good work! Kailyn

Totally takes you out of it when they have these bad bad voice actors trying to over-act the scenes. Just report what you know, let’s not make up some stories...

I don’t like the theatrical re-enactments, they are far to cheesey and over acted.

I have given this a 3 stars for a number of reasons and the biggest one is begging for a 5 star review and them claiming they had people contact them asking how they can help, I find it hard to believe people would go out there way to ask them how they can help, please STOP BEGGING, and this has...Read full review »

I’m really enjoying this podcast. They don’t just talk about the horrible events but it’s acted out like the old time radio shows. It’s fantastic!!! Loving this so much!!!

I love this podcast. The hosts are ready good at engaging with each other. I really enjoy the voice actors as well. It's like we are popping into either a movie or an audible book. It really enhances the podcast to have the narrative.Read full review »

I enjoy the program but am distracted by the voice actors. I think it would be better without. The hosts are great.

The level of research and amount of effort put into these cases are phenomenal. I always look forward to new episodes! I have binged this podcast the last month and am almost done with all the past podcasts. Besides the voice actors being a bit comical at times, it’s really a great podcast.
kelizolson via Apple Podcasts · United States of America · 03/02/20
I love this podcast! I think it’s unique. It’s the first one I have found where they actually take you through with voice actors and acting it out. I like how they do that. I also like how they cover really old cases, it is very interesting.

I really enjoy the stories selected and of course, the hosts! Very engaging. However, I don’t really care for the voice actors. It’s distracting from the otherwise quality podcast.

...but I tried. I was willing to cut the “voice actors” some slack as obvious amateurs but I had to stop as they are unbelievably bad. I get that you can’t afford professionals and you’re no doubt trying but I don’t have the patience to listen another minute. It’s that bad.

Why do you guys have to try to act this out!?!? If you want to act, attend an acting class as you all NEED ONE‼️‼️‼️This doesn’t cut it‼️‼️‼️These so-called actresses/actors are so super CHEESY, it’s extremely cringeworthy!! Most actors have training in voice to include accents. It would be great if your actors could learn these. Several are also sometimes melodramatic, especially ‘odd’ in what would have been ordinary conversations. Hosts are great!!

I love how many of the cases covered in this podcast are older and less known. So many true crime podcasts talk about the same 10-15 stories (Jon Benet, Susan Powell, Maura Murray, etc.) My favorite episode in this podcast is the one about Rochard Cox, the West Point cadet. SO well done and...Read full review »

Love the scary music that plays in the background and it rises suspense! I also love the little skits you make. Your voices are nice to listen to to be able to sleep (Sorry is that sounds weird, don’t mean to make you feel uncomfortable!)

I have tried time and time again to listen and I just hate it ! The acting is terrible your much better off telling the story as is dont try to do all that extra crap ! I vote hell no
Shewas_created via Apple Podcasts · United States of America · 02/19/20
This has the potential to be good but the dramatisations are unbearably bad and the fake story-tension in the hosting and dramatic music is deeply off-putting. They’re well-researched and would make good stories if not for the bizarre cringey add-ins.
miasews via Apple Podcasts · Great Britain · 02/19/20
Carter Roy and the content of this podcast earn 5 stars. If Wendy could just one time not sound like she was reading off a crumpled paper. The awkward pauses that suggest she’s moving down to the next line drop it 3 stars. Love parcast. Wendy makes this podcast tough though.

I grew up on old time radio in the 90s. My grandma put a love for radio in my heart with the radio shows. Growing up as a millennial I felt we would lose the feel of radio. This is an awesome podcast. I’m very picky about what I listen to and this is #1 for me. I like the re-enactment in the form of radio drama and it still maintains the seriousness and truthfulness of the true crime being discussed. Carter and Wenndy are a great vocal and storytelling team. Perfect...Read full review »

I love the history and details since I like true crime. However I do not like the voice acting-very fake. I will continue to listen however there are a few episodes (the very first one) I cannot get into due to the actors and dramatization.

I listened to the series about Bella in the Wytch Elm - it was riveting. I am going to enjoy catching up!
Barefoot Duck via Apple Podcasts · United States of America · 02/14/20
I couldn’t make it all the way through the first episode. The “skits” are hokey and cheesy, and the “conversations” feel over-rehearsed and forced.

I listen everyday at work, in the car, etc. Really amazing job words can’t describe, just listen. You two have great chemistry, thanks for getting me through my day! So in love with Carter Roy, truly

I enjoy the podcast. Carter and Wenndy do a an excellent job telling the stories. One observation is that they seem a little critical of law enforcement. As former cop I can tell you that these investigations are not easily solved. Crime scenes will leave their mark on you.
