Dave weaves an instantly relatable story that instantly transports!
Since I read his well-done memoir Party Of One, I have always loved Dave’s writing. And it was clear from the first episode that he was not only hosting but writing the series. I enjoyed his humor, his insights, and the way that he drew interesting commentary and connected the threads from personalities across the many decades of MTV. And yes, I absolutely felt some nostalgic pangs for what was in “my “MTV era, and I poured one out for what could’ve been if Viacom had not fumbled the ball when they had such a vibrant brand that they could have reinvented for the next generation

Hooked by the first episode. Dave has done it again with excellent story telling and fantastic observations of a time and place. If you grew up on and with MTV and wonder “What happened?”, this is podcast for you.

Dave’a ability to remember so much detail and the way he presents it is pretty amazing. Highly recommend this podcast for those who want to learn about MTV back in the day or take a trip down memory lane.
