Meh
I’ve sat/served 7 retreats and think there is plenty to criticize in the Goenka system. Yet this podcast is just so uncritical in its presentation (eg, “some people on the internet even call it a cult!” with spooky music in the background) that it loses credibility. Where are the stats on the prevalence of these issues? Where is the alternative viewpoint? I’m all for a balanced and informed critique of both the method taught by Goenka and the structure of the organization. But this is just scare mongering that perhaps is trying to cater to a true crime listener demographic
