Similarly to other reviews here I found this an interesting but frustrating listen. In particular I thought the lack of recourse to published research in relation to key claims was somewhat curious for such a respected publisher. Contrast with Sharma, Mahapatra and Gupta’s 2019 narrative review of 28 cases half of which with precipitating factors that concluded: “There are case reports of psychotic disorder arising in association with meditative practice; however, it is difficult to attribute a causal relationship between the two. At the same time, there is a body of research describing the beneficial effect of meditative practice in clinical settings for patients with psychotic disorders”
