Poor structure/template, strong content/potential
I am an admirer of everything UA, especially their coaches’ deep expertise and demonstrated passion in their contributions to uphill athletics. I have gained from the collective UA team in my trail/mountain/ultra running, ski mountaineering and increasingly my passion for hike/fly paragliding. However, their knowledge and experience are not being adequately translated into consumable, actionable podcast content. Why? Listeners would benefit from a consistent format or template for the podcast content, which could include a single dependable host/interviewer, a stated (and adhered-to) agenda, or even a formulaic approach to applying a common training philosophy or methodology to disciplines that share commonalities. In too many of these podcasts, my experience has been that of listening to rambling or ad-hoc or even idiosyncratic training chatter, rather than consuming an actionable, theme-driven and concise treatment of a topic.

More reviews of Uphill Athlete Podcast
I am captivated by Steve’s new series “Voice of the Mountains”. I don’t think I’ve ever come across anything quite like it in podcasting before. I really appreciate all of your insight, perspective, and sharing openly and honestly.

A great companion to the books and website of the same name. The editing and production could use a little tightening up, but enjoyable nonetheless.
