This Cory Richards podcast is amazing - Steve pulled off a Howard Stern level interview. I was blown away by how effective Steve was in getting Cory to share his insights - he had a lot to say and you helped him say it. All that and a beautiful collection of words to set it all up, “When you...Read full review »

I am captivated by Steve’s new series “Voice of the Mountains”. I don’t think I’ve ever come across anything quite like it in podcasting before. I really appreciate all of your insight, perspective, and sharing openly and honestly.

I would love to hear Steve and Mark Twight tell story. Maybe go over how Mark used to train for climbs.

I’m a 52 year old female who continues to enjoy mountaineering, strength training, endurance running, and all things uphill athlete as I age. I love this podcast. As an ultra runner that really only runs to train for climbing mountains and bowhunting and skiing… it is so fun to listen to others who love the mountains and are doing inspirational big efforts without the repetitive, redundancy of so many podcasts that only focus on...Read full review »

Welcome to the Steve House era of mountain fitness. Uphill Athlete is on a mission to bring real objective based training to the masses and the relevant sports will never be the same. While one of the guests was encouraging people to protest , about the concern about the environmental issues , the host said if anyone objects , they can just shut up , I possibly gave up a successful career in a sport I will not name because I didn’t really see how it would help our world , and...Read full review »

I am just getting started in mountaineering objectives after doing actions sports most of my life. I really appreciate all the knowledge that UA shares. As I move to more endurance based sports I appreciate the analysis that gives me confidence to move forward with my program. Super excited to...Read full review »

This podcast continues on an excellent track providing insight to training for mountaineering. Insight and not at all sales oriented. Looking forward to further strengthening the social aspects with this new setup of uphill athlete.

One of the best training podcasts. Have also used a few of their training programs. Helped me summit my second 8000M peaks, 10 years after my first. As an aging weekend warrior, training has become key, and this podcast has had a huge impact.

As a runner, I absolutely love the content and the books! Very inspirational, motivational, relatable, & educational. My ok my constructive feedback, and the reason I did not give 5 stars is due to Steve, as well as former host Scott, have terrible mic quality. Not sure if it is due to using...Read full review »

A great companion to the books and website of the same name. The editing and production could use a little tightening up, but enjoyable nonetheless.

I am an admirer of everything UA, especially their coaches’ deep expertise and demonstrated passion in their contributions to uphill athletics. I have gained from the collective UA team in my trail/mountain/ultra running, ski mountaineering and increasingly my passion for hike/fly paragliding....Read full review »

Everything about Uphill Athlete is first class, with the podcast being no exception. When they skipped a week recently I almost went into withdrawal pains. Keep up the good work!

I have read the book Training for the New Alpinism and the content on Uphill Athlete website. The podcast reinforces the training concepts, and also has excellent interviews with Uphill Athlete coaches/athletes. I would recommend this podcast to all Mountain athletes. I’ve read both of their books now, and I religiously listen to this podcast. I’ve studied exercise physiology, and it’s so refreshing to hear a no-nonsense no b.s view on the topic. All the practical wisdom shared is really interesting. Thank you guys from Canada - keep it up.

I tried to listen to six different episodes, but unfortunately in each case the extraneous clicks and scraping sounds made it unlistenable for me. (Sounds like maybe Scott Johnston was not using a proper mic but perhaps one of those sub-standard inline mics in an earbud set, and banging it around...Read full review »

Fantastic podcast. Great accompaniment to the books. If you don’t have one or both yet go buy them. Excellent training information for everyone.

Great show. I love the insights and athlete interviews. I’ve been encouraged by the topics and the side conversations that emerge as a result. I would suggest having the host turn their phone into airplane mode or silencing it because it is distracting to hear text messages come in during the show.

I really appreciate the great information but it sounds like someone is playing with/shuffling a deck of cards or something and it is very distracting.
