Varnamtown
I’m Mike Grimes, DEA Agent retired. This is the very first podcast I have listened to; I had to get someone to show me how to open it. Although I was interviewed at length, I had no idea how a podcast was put together. I thought it was well done, and with a little drama. Being an agent is a lot of hard work, some of it boring, with a little excitement sprinkled here and there. It took me many months to track down all involved in the case and I had a lot of help from other agents and officers. My friend Larry Joyner retired and shortly thereafter died; it was very sad for me. Larry and I became good friends. Larry was a very meticulous officer who gave a lot of attention to details. I so wish he could have participated in the podcast. When Larry and I followed LaGorea (sp?) into the grocery, Larry said he had to get close to him to make a positive identification. Knowing Gorilla saw Larry I knew I had to arrest him or he would be gone to Colombia post haste.

Looking forward to hearing more but find all of the back ground sound effects too loud and distracting. Makes it difficult to hear some of the narration and interviews. Especially the sounds of the crickets with “Lefty” as Lefty is soft spoken with a southern accent.

I really wanted to like this podcast but 5 episodes in, I’m out. The commercials were placed in a way that ruined the listening experience. Very little content per episode and hosts that are way too wrapped up in themselves.
