Just too simplistic
If you want the tabloid American version this is fine, but otherwise this skims over too many parts of what was happening. How can you cover a history of 80’s football and skip straight to Hillsborough? With no mention of Heysel or what had happened between Police and fans/the public in that decade this has no proper context. The blame given was as a result of what had come before. England are never great, but Italia 90 followed Mexico 86 where Lineker got the golden boot and we went out at the Quarter Finals to Maradonna’s handy work. So it’s not accurate to say they’d always been dreadful and makes them out to be a group of misfits who punched above their weight. Great for drama but not accurate. Also if you’re talking about English football, it’s a draw not a tie And finally, try Bovril. It’s not all bad on a cold day.
