This replacement programme is a mere shadow of the wonderful β€œOff Track … now, so dumbed down and so juvenile… sigh

This is clearly a 5 star show ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Absolutely brilliant example of excellent science communication. The production is sublime, it’s incredibly interesting, and it’s funny as hell - I’m pissing myself laughing as I listen on the train. (Side note: it’s also hilarious reading the reviews of...Read full review »

So I came across Anne Jones and her team on their You Tube channel, and thought that their fun and endearing education style was so inspiring that I looked into their podcasts… I hadn’t bothered with podcasts for years but I can’t get enough of this team’s work. They crack me up and I learn!...Read full review »

Loved the episode on the murderous hunting spiders, but my vote for the cutest spider goes to the tiny jumping spiders which are like tiny jewels Especially amusing when doing their courtship dance and trying not to be eaten! Love your work!

I love all your amazing stories. My biggest complaint is that it is interspersed with such horrible, mindless and distracting drumming and can-rattling that l just have to turn it off. Please leave out these crazy sounds. They only detract from your amazing work.

What a roller coaster! One moment we are ooohing and ahhhing over the loving behaviour of one species, when bam! We are face to face with mother natures own twisted imagination and are left with the only reply possible β€œwhat the duck!!”

This is usually a very informative and entertaining SCIENCE program. Ann interviews with such warmth and intelligence. It’s rare to find a podcast that combines super interesting and articulate interviews with such brilliant writing. I love the facts I’m learning while marvelling at a brilliant one-liner or laughing at a witty piece of colloquial writing.

Well, I recently discovered that the title of this esteemed podcast, namely, β€œWhat the Duck?” originated from a spell check correction! Love it. Ann’s whit, humour and natural charm infuse the podcast’s solid scientific base with unmitigated joy and passion for nature. Love it! :-)

I like Anne Jones as a science communicator, a lot. Off Track was a better, more interesting and more diverse offering. Off Track's occasional wackiness and humour added to the unique texture of that program, leavening the earnestness of the show. What The Duck lacks so much I love about Dr...Read full review »
