Narrator’s reading is distracting
Interesting story and good journalism but I had to stop listening because of the host’s stilted, unnatural speech (she is very clearly reading from a script and isn’t trying to make her words seem at all natural or conversational). I didn’t know this would be a deal breaker for me but it is, it really pulls me out of it and makes me feel very uneasy with the host. I’d love another season, but I want to lightly suggest going for a more conversational approach rather than dictation.

I want to continue listening, but I’m not sure I can tolerate the podcaster’s robot voice. She’s reading a script. I will try to give it more than the first episode, but I’m not sure I can. Flow is very important when it comes to listening. Especially one as long as this.
