“Last year, KT producer Bill was nice enough to make me part of a tiny test audience that had complete access to the unreleased series. I SHOTGUNNED the episodes and ended up listening to the last few at work while scrubbing the kitchen floor. I was listening and crying, just standing there with a mop in my hand, completely surprised at the way the series wrapped up.
The roughly 1 million hours of true crime and documentary podcasts I've listened to have left me with a number of feely (if predictable) impressions, but this one...I mean, how do you unearth and tell a well-known, 50 year old story about a repellant and feckless boogeyman but still move your listener to tears and contemplation of love, violence, and the layers of reasons people will do their worst?

“So fascinating and such an interesting look into the brains of killers. Only 4 stars because the end talking to the family bugged me, felt like more detective work should’ve been done before talking to the family.
