Informative and entertaining
If you like John Dickerson on the Political Gabfest, you will enjoy Whistlestop thoroughly. It is no doubt for history buffs and political junkies (the combination of which may be a rare breed), but I found it very interesting and very well produced. Narration is lively, content is entertaining and informative, and I find very valuable to have refresher on politics of the good ole' days. It is a treat that such content can be made available, thanks to the podcast model.Read full review »

Growing up as a millennial no history teacher would touch politics or recent history. I have been dying to know more about the 70's. The "tears" episode put so much together for me. Thanks John!Read full review »

Tipped off on this by gabfest where John also works. I’m glad he now has a platform to go off on these interesting tangents. Does a great job of contrasting these historical events with the current political landscape.

Big fan of the Political Gabfest but always felt like it needed more John. So, this makes me happy.
