I had a conversation with @hilzfuld. He's dual citizen American & Israeli. He and I are both super pro-Israel advocates. But we found ourselves on opposite sides in this year's American presidential election. So we sat down to try to figure out how that could be. A fascinating conversation. Hosted on Acast. We just elected an authoritarian. We elected a traitor to this country. We elected a cruel pathological liar. We elected someone who is demanding loyalty oaths from everyone he hires. Not loyalty to the country or the Constitution. Loyalty to HIM. We must not normalize that. We must resist him. I don't wish his Presidency well. I wish America well. Hosted on Acast. 2016 was all about Trump. His base was a cult, and many others who voted for him were ashamed to say they supported him. No longer. His support now has moved well beyond his cultish base, Trump has been normalized, and the Party is now a full-fledged major political party again. The rest of the country had better wake up to this. For the sake of our democracy. Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.

Unlike in 2016, this time they knew. This time the people knew exactly who Trump was, and they still voted for him. They knew who he was and they said either "I don't care" or "I want that." So now it's on them. Every anti-democratic and anti-rule of law thing Trump does is on them. Not Trump. Which is how a democracy should live or die. Hosted on Acast. MAGA now controls everything, they can now do anything, Democrats don't know what the heck just happened, half the country is in shock, the other half wants to take no prisoners, truth no longer matters, people are blind to the danger signs all around us...I'm worried for our country. Who's to blame for Trump's victory? Well, Joe Biden stuck around too long, the Democratic Party is elitist and out of touch, but most of all, the American people knowingly voted for a horrible human being. That's their right. And they exercised that right. But by doing so, the American people said loud and clear that it doesn't matter what kind of human being a candidate is. That's scary. Hosted on Acast. Donald Trump won yesterday. The people spoke. And though I'm not happy with the result, I accept the result. Because that's what we as Americans are called to do. If we want to keep this great experiment going. I have great fears for this country with Trump back in the White House. And if I have the energy, I will continue to fight him and fight to defend democracy and the rule of law. Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.

This is on us. It's our time. No more talking. It's time for choosing. And the choice is clear. We either choose to preserve this fragile democracy, or we choose to go down the road of authoritarianism. Either we as a people choose democracy or we hunker down and fight against an authoritarian takeover of this great experiment. It's up to us. It's our choice. Hosted on Acast. I'm asking every American to put their country's interests first tomorrow. I'm asking every American to think beyond their own partisan interests tomorrow and put their country first. I'm asking every American to vote tomorrow for the candidate who did NOT try to overthrow an American election. I'm asking every American to vote for the candidate they raised their children to be like. I'm not asking too much. Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.

I'm on the road again. In Wisconsin today campaigning for Kamala Harris. And I'm hearing from too many people who are thinking about not voting. No! We need you to vote. America needs you to vote. And when you vote, please vote for the candidate who does not believe that the people who disagree with her are the enemy. Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.

Let me set the record straight on this whole "garbage" thing. It's not Biden, and it's not Harris who believes Americans are garbage. It's Trump. Trump is the one who said America is a garbage can. Trump is the one who called his political opponents "garbage" "evil" and the "enemy within." Trump is the one who said he would have the military go after his political opponents. So quit whining about what Biden said MAGA. You embrace Trump. Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more...

It was where Trump stood right before his supporters stormed the Capitol. Kamala Harris stood there last night and painted the contrast between her vision for America and Trump's vision. And it put squarely in our lap what kind of a people we want to be. The ball is now in our court America. Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.

I got a message from Jim, and I actually get hundreds of these same messages and replies every day, and the message said that the only way Trump can lose is if it's stolen from him. That's the only way. This makes me so sad. Trump has permanently sown distrust in our elections process. For so many Americans. It's so damn wrong. Hosted on Acast. Yes, that rally at Madison Square Garden yesterday was an ugly, divisive, hate filled event. But pay attention to the scariest thing that was said last night the rally. He did it again. At a rally last night Trump said America is a "garbage can." He said we're a garbage can. He said immigrants have turned this country into a garbage can. Screw Trump. Let's let Trump know loud and clear on November 5th that we're not a garbage can. Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.

On a CNN town hall last night, Kamala Harris made very clear that she wants to focus on the American people. Which is the antithesis of what Trump wants to focus on. Trump is capable of only focusing on himself. This is a great way ultimately to frame the choose here. It's a stark contrast. Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.

We have 13 days to go to make sure we don't elect a fascist as President of the United States. Retired General John Kelly, Donald Trump’s former chief of staff is saying the Republican presidential nominee meets the definition of a fascist and that while in office, Trump suggested that Nazi leader Adolf Hitler “did some good things.” Hosted on Acast. He lies every time he opens his mouth, he's nasty, cruel, bigoted, ignorant, hateful in everything he says, but it just doesn't matter. It doesn't matter to his supporters, in fact, many of them love what he says, but it doesn't matter to too many of the rest of us, we just roll our eyes. No other candidate is treated that way. Why? Trump keeps saying this. That his political opponents are the "enemy within." It's an ugly, dangerous thing to say. And it's a precursor to him wanting to use the military against his political opponents. Which is anathema to America. We don't do that here in America. The President is NOT a dictator. On January 2nd, 2021, he called Georgia's top election official and told that person to go find him 11,780 votes. Kamala Harris engaged in an adversarial media interview yesterday on Fox News, and she did great. Unlike someone else we know, Kamala didn't whine or complain about it, she didn't hurl personal insults at her interviewer, instead she engaged respectfully, she was tough, and she delivered substantive answers. She should do more of these adversarial interviews. Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.

Trump was supposed to have a town hall last night and take questions from the audience. Instead, he stood on stage and swayed to music for 40 minutes. Again over the weekend, someone, almost in disbelief, asked me how could this race possibly be close? How could it be she asked. Trump is horrible, she said. How could it be close. The fact that these had to ask that showed me how out of touch she was. So I explained to her why the race is so close. Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.
