This is such a sensitively composed podcast. I really admired the respect Sam Poling showed her subjects, her thoroughness and her plight to try and bring Emma’s family some closure. It also illuminated the threats prostitutes face everyday from many of their punters, and the terribly sad cycle of their lives. What it clearly revealed is how little support, credence and help the police offer these women. The police utterly fail these women! And as a society, we have to examine what this failure is tacitly saying to these violent men?!
