“I am about 20 episodes in to Wham Bam Pow, and I am still on the fence. On one hand, Cameron, Ricky and Rhea have a lot of really funny moments. Cameron's analysis of some movies casts them in a whole new light for me (she tends to be a lot more sensitive to depictions of race and gender than I am). Ricky can be really insightful as well, and the back-and-forth between Cameron and Rhea is often really funny. However, these three are NOT film scholars, and I would even go so far as to say that my knowledge of movies surpasses theirs (except for maybe Ricky). This is not a podcast for movie super-nerds, or even sci-fi nerds. Instead, you will get the kind of reviews that you could expect from any casual summer blockbuster movie fan. Entertaining, but not incredibly insightful or knowledgeable.

I just know that the chemistry has improved, and I find myself agreeing with them more and more. For this reason, I have upgraded my rating to 4 stars.”Read full review »
