Learn what you were never taught in school
Though I've never read the Little House series, I watched a few episodes of the television series and had some idea about the stories. My family moved from southern Ontario to southern Saskatchewan in March 1969. I knew nothing about the Canadian prairies and thought I'd be living in a house like Laura Ingalls Wilder grew up in. I was so wrong about that. There are so many gaps in what we learn. Rich history that is ignored and overlooked. People we learn nothing about and our biases are based on movies, ignorance and fear. This podcast has been eye opening into the history and people of that period in time. I eagerly await the new episode each week and have a lot of reading to do as a result of the thorough show notes. Give it a listen.Read full review »

I’m a lifelong Little House fan, and this podcast has been incredible. I love learning the history of how the books came to be and the background of the real American history surrounding this story. It’s excellent! I look forward to every episode and I’m never disappointed.
