Great with a little ageism
I love this podcast, and I know he doesn’t mean to be less than respectful when referring to older guests or discussing an older person. Marc will say or ask if a person is “lucid” as if it’s an amazing and wonderful thing that an older person continues to be lucid. He uses the word in that context on many occasions. The word clearly has an obvious negative connotation and saying someone is still lucid doesn’t make it positive. Unfortunately (and unintentionally on Marc’s part), it reinforces the negative stereotypes and ageist attitudes that older people face daily. That said, I love this podcast and recommend it highly!
