Phenomenal investigative journalism
Really glad I was recommended this series. The host is very well connected to the culture in Chicago and uses this to his advantage to get the full story from all sides. Also adds a very unique layer of authenticity. Highly recommend to other fans of investigative journalism. And lastly s/o to teaching me about Lenard Clark so I didn’t know him before!

The best, most inventive podcast I’ve listened to in a long time (and it’s my job to listen to podcasts!) Well reported, well told, well produced, it’s a work of art.

I am a retired journalist who went to college on the south side of Chicago 20 years before this story begins. The narrator gives me a viewpoint I, as a white person, have not lived. I am riveted and can’t wait to hear the rest of the story - I am in midst of episode 2.

Man I listened to every episode you definitely gave it all. From our perspective with questions and doubts we all would have. This was definitely a must listen and I shared it too. As you reported I swear it was as though my son was talking with every question you had.
