I’ve read a bit of Karina Longworth the last couple years and always enjoyed her criticism. This podcast though, is on another level. The stories are always fascinating and the production adds so much more, whether its the on-point music or the perfectly cheesy lines of play-acted dialogue.
I really appreciate how Longworth looks at the history through her own lens. My favorite histories are the ones that aren’t afraid to judge their players, and its done here with intelligence and humor. There’s also a healthy feminist streak that informs the 'cast.
