For the most part I have enjoyed Jon Hagadorns podcast, as long as he sticks to the subject at hand. However I have noticed on several episodes he injects his conservative politics into the discussion. Also, I feel he invites certain authors that join his podcasts, that expound and support his...Read full review »

Wow. Wanted to know more after this episode and, before looking for more detailed sources I went to the Wikipedia page only to discover the very same text from the podcast! Basically the podcast was someone reading the Wikipedia article aloud. Verbatim. If only there was a name for that. Oh...Read full review »

I’ve listened to many of your podcasts and find that your voice, subject matter and narration are interesting, relaxing and educational. Currently listening to the John Wayne podcasts. He is my all time favourite actor. Keep up the good work. A listener from Alberta Canada.

Very interesting podcast about John Wayne’s life. Especially liked how you showed him to be a real person and not just a movie icon. To add to your story, I wanted to tell you about a friend of mine who was an extra in the movie The Horse Soldiers. He was one of the boys from the Virginia...Read full review »

Great story about “The Duke”. John Wayne was a real guy, warts and all, but he was a Man and a good one at that. He influenced a generation of good men. However the pendulum has swung the other way, and now Wayne and his ilk bring out the shrill cries from todays “social warriors”. He...Read full review »

Listen to a real history podcast instead. This has the politics and the accuracy of a fringe Reddit thread.

Thank you for sharing the information on Tornadoes! I live in South Central Ky! I have seen the destruction an F3 can do and I am a bit more prepared to survive after hearing what an F5 can do! Ultimately I am in Gods hand!

I really enjoy listening to all your shows but the sound effects are extremely annoying and make it hard to listen. Please get rid of them!

It was King William’s war not King Phillip’s war. You’re off by over a decade. Also, your presentism is uninspiring. Will not listen again.

One of the best podcasts ever. I love the diversity of this show. One question why did you change the cover thing? I like the old one more, but that doesn’t change the quality of the show!!! Absolute perfection!! Thank you!!

The topics are well researched and delivered in such a thought provoking manner, it’s easy to listen and stay mentally engaged with. Jon is a great interviewer who asks good questions as if he too is intrigued with every interviewee and the topic discussed.

As a college student and full-time employee, I rarely get a chance to sit down and physically watch something. 1001 give me the ability to be physically active at work and still freshen up on my history knowledge. Thank you Jon for being an incredible host!!!

It was difficult to listen to this podcast because of the obvious bias of the story writer. The story could have been told much better without all the political commentary. Jon being of a younger generation, I’m a baby boomer, occasionally mispronounces a name or word. It used to bug me a little, but, Jon, you do a fantastic job reading these. At 71 years old, you make me smile, laugh, and sometimes cry. You enrich my life. THANK YOU!! Bogie & Becall was awesome

Both my wife and I really love these podcasts. We often listen to them while on car trips together. We especially like your straightforward tone and non-revisionist style. History is what it is, not what we think it should have been through our current lens, as that lens will constantly change.

Tuned in for a Jack the Ripper episode and initially liked it but was turned off by the completely random and unnecessary American patriotism and racism at the end.
