I haul equipment for the local John Deere dealer. I travel all over Montana and there are a lot of dead spots out here. I’m glad to have your stories to fill in the quite scenery. Love the stories and the host. Background sound effects are way too loud. They drown out the host. Please turn them down or stop using them all together.

Neat repeatedly referring Native American as savages. It would be interesting to hear your choice of derogatory term for other minorities through history. A slave uprising from the point of view of plantation owners might be interesting. What would you use for Jewish people in Germany? Not “woke”...Read full review »

I enjoy every second. It’s an engaging style that is enthralling and informative. One suggestion: we pronounce my state of Oregon as “Ory-gun,” not “ Ore-Gone.” ☺️

I've heard and seen several documentaries done of the Dyatlov Pass mystery. However, none have come close to the amount of information Jon provides. Same goes for the Bridey Murphy episodes. Jon's research is impeccable. Love this podcast. Thanks.Read full review »

A blatant historical error at the very beginning of the July 5, 2020 “Lonesome Dove” episode was so ridiculous that I found it pointless to continue listening to any 1001 episodes, wondering how many other careless inaccuracies are in the content. The blatant error in the narrated script at the...Read full review »

Thank you so much for the Bob Hoover story. He was a great aviator and a fine example of American manhood. Your work helps remind us “ we are not descended from timid men. “

Just finished listening to the excellent Snow Shoe Thompson episode. I first learned of Snow Show from listening to Johnny Horton’s song of the same name back in the early 60s and this podcast filled in a lot of the fascinating background history of this truly heroic man. Intriguing and well researched snapshots and stories. However, two corrections are in order regarding the Shoah or Holocaust referenced in several episodes. I really like the history here. Have you considered doing a show on Bob Hoover? Jimmy Doolittle called him the greates stick and rudder pilot who ever lived. In ww2 he escaped from a German POW camp then stole a German plane and escaped to Holland.

John… great, balanced review of Bigfoot data and myths. Question: Much of the data still standing hints that Bigfoot and cousins may be remnant populations of archaic primates. However, the archaeological press has started hinting at an alternative. Could these creatures be remnant hominids?...Read full review »
