Long-time Listner: A Sad Goodbye
I've listened to this podcast since 2007 when it highlighted hard science and health discoveries. Over the years it became longer and longer - which was no problem! - and shifted to more soft, social sciences. It seems 2020 broke the editors and staff of Scientific America. They officially took a side on the 2020 US Presidential Election and the podcast went downhill from there. At this point in 2024 the episodes are long-winded tales of pseudo-scientific, leftist dogma. Gone are the physics discoveries. Stories of new health technology is replaced with COVID-mania and Critical Race Theory in healthcare. With the recent fawning over Vice President Kamala Harris and the subsequent endorsement I believe it's time to move on. Goodbye, 60-Second Science. I consider this one of the best dealing with science. I know some Christians have a problem because it had a negative view of the movie expelled.
