Reverb, somewhat tinny. An inexpensive interview/conference type microphone could correct this.

..In the preview of the election coverage then brought on a bunch of one sided guests. Stay out of politics.

Not only is their personal bias evident in their tone, but the to be one sided “doom and gloom” view of a virus with 99.6% survival rate, and lack of discussion of riots/protests linked to covid shows how biased they really are.

I enjoyed the science and environment nuggets. But if I want to hear about the elections I have other podcast choices. Have to unsubscribe for now.

I just came across this podcast by pure chance. Most of what I listen to is related to true crime so suggestions are usually related to that. I am soooo glad that we met. I love little doses of scientific facts. I can’t wait to share with my family and friends. Thank you!

Hi
Great topics and info. This earns a 5 star rating. Please stop the politics. That drops the rating down to a 1.

Excellent resource for science lovers. Short summaries for the scientific articles. I can even search the articles of the contents that I want to explore further.

super interesting topics explained in a short amount of time, explained by experts in their fields! the only improvement would be more information in the description, references, sources and maybe links to the experts that were invited on the show.

Mark Stratton’s voice is wonderful to listen to! But in my kitchen, I can’t really hear him amidst the normal kitchen sounds. Podcasts need to consider who consumes this particular media and how. When typical listener hits play, what else are they doing? Somebody who listens to 60-second...Read full review »

Love this podcast. Quick hits on quirky science. Good topics, pitched at a good level, well-written (and read).

I listen to this podcast for quick science hits to stay up to date with what’s happening in the science world.....not political opinions. If the political hits keep coming I’ll unsubscribe and find another podcast for my science needs!
bucher117 via Apple Podcasts · United States of America · 05/27/20
Stick to the objectiveness that is inherent to science. No one listens to this podcast to hear about your political opinions. The “We’re Being Tested” episode was not science. It was political satire and not even very clever satire at that.

Hi
Please don’t speak about politics.

No politics!
rtee246 via Apple Podcasts · United States of America · 05/20/20
I totally agree with the other reviews I saw related to the We’re Being Tested episode. I listen to this podcast purely for science and will not keep listening if it becomes a political podcast.

Whatever your political affiliation is, I would like to think this is a science based broadcast. I felt this recent episode crossed the political line. Instead of bashing the president for the things he says, explain what he meant scientifically. What is the difference between knowing something...Read full review »

I’ve loved the science over the years, but have grown weary of the political anti-Trump sentiment frequently sprinkled in. I’m done, unsubscribed.

What is with them writing a silly political ad? Trump said that testing results in higher case count. They act, on a science podcast, as if he said the cases were caused by the test. If you are that dense I cannot trust the science. Is there no escape from politics?

These episodes were great for teaching my advanced adult English students. I could start and stop and rewind and go over great new vocabulary— great subject matter and a fun way to teach an hour-long class!

You are becoming a political podcast. It used to be nice reprieve from the daily wave of BS, but you just couldn’t stay out of the mud. Today’s podcast about Barack Obama endorsing Joe Biden is enough, I’m out. Politics has no place in science, not even when the self proclaimed scientists do...Read full review »

I have loved my daily 60second science daily fix however over the last few weeks there has been a change to a highly accented scientist CV followed by two sentences of their work. It’s boring and pointless. Please please return to the old format - that was a 5star

Small bites into important or complex scientific topics. Each rather well explained so that even tho the podcast os short it is still educational on a wide selection of science based bits.

Scientific American has a stellar reputation so I expected this podcast would be amazing. I love the variety of topics and the way the information is delivered with a touch of humor.

Besides providing interesting information in short segments that can easily be a part of a daily routine they always seem to wrap it up in a laudable pun. Well done
