Interesting but spoiled by presentation style.
I presume that as most all of the podcasts sound the same it's now the SA house style. I didn't like it when Covid Quickly did it and I still don't. As savingwhales says elsewhere on this page, the information in the 'cast is usually interesting, but, oh, the awful scripted exchanges between two presenters, delivered so woodenly that it's distracting. Please bring back the style of later 60-Second Science. You could have just changed the name of the podcast when episodes started running long. A charitable 2/5Read full review »

I love this podcast, but once in awhile the speaker throws in political commentary (sometimes laced with sarcasm). Politics contaminates the sciences. I want to hear about scientific theories, observations, and facts, and not someone’s preachy political views. Of course the makers of this podcast...Read full review »

I love the fact that the episodes are only 60-second a piece. It gives the listener a brief summary of the latest things in science which would (hopefully) whet an appetite for more and inspires us to do more research on that particular topic. Love it.
