I am a 73 year old man and was looking forward to this series and was quite encouraged at the beginning with the talk with the host's Dad. For me, though, then it became Celebrity Cascades. Part of our culture is so caught up in celebrity and I don't think that that is at all good for...Read full review »

I have loved this podcast and am so sorry to hear this is the last one….

I love this host’s eclectic mix of guests, though I often find that his interviewing strategies stymie and limit the conversations, due to his leading questions that veer toward the abstract and his forced tone of giggly incredulity or wonder that strikes me as a bit patronizing to the folks...Read full review »

Ads
I punched up the podcast , but just listened to two ads that sound like the speaker is on quaaludes. Please tell me that there is more. How do I get past these awful ads?

With a diverse range of interviewees and a broad ranging discussion about how we make the most of the time we have left, I found nuggets of joy and wisdom in each episode and was sad when it came to an end. I guess I will just have to listen to each episode again. Thank you for such a lovely,...Read full review »

This is a delightful podcast. Listening to this generation is insightful and thought provoking and rewarding. The host is so respectful of his guests and genuinely cares about them. This is a bright spot in today’s world. Thank you for honoring elderly people. I am only 2 years away from 70!

What a great program you have offered! Even though the speakers and I do not share life experiences, I can totally connect to their stories and insights.

Thank you for this sweet and insightful series. As a person who is 8 years away from 70, I found it reassuring and inspiring. I think we all learned a lot, including Max.

I have really enjoyed these interviews with a neglected portion of the population. I particularly like the thoughtful way in which the host spoke with his subjects♥️

I just turned 60 and recently retired thanks to the pandemic. I now spend time doing all the things I’ve never had time to do. Listening to these inspiring guests fills my cup sand makes me grateful for each day and excited about the next. The host is so kind. You will love this show.

The stories/interviews are interesting and intimate. So candid and relatable. This is a funny, life affirming look at the most existential parts of being alive. Highly recommend!

Every interview with these over 70’s is so direct and feels true. Max just cuts right into it gracefully and directly every time. I love this series!

I love this podcast. Not only do the well chosen guests provide insights and inspiration, but Max is an extremely sensitive interviewer, and the resulting discussions seem natural and spontaneous. I always feel enriched and sometimes listen twice. Thank you Max.

I subscribed and I keep listening even though most of the interviews depress me. So much success. Most of the people I know over 70 are not faring as well and I’m not far behind. I feel more envy than hope. Something else to work out in therapy. Can’t wait for the next 70 Over 70 episode! Update:...Read full review »

Excellent pick of guests, who have made this podcast shine. The host’s questions are generally interesting, but sometimes it appears that he is restrained by his prepared questions and was pushing a bit too hard. This can seem pretentious and be a bit annoying sometimes. Other times, if it were...Read full review »

I appreciate this show so much! I take away not only insights that I may never have thought about, but the wisdom is priceless! They make me laugh, they make me reflect, and at 63 they make me look forward to my 70’s and beyond.

It’s a fine program with really interesting speakers. However I might have to stop listening to it because of the advertisements. The advertisements for me spoil the content, particularly because the advertising pitch, a rapid hard sell , is made by the same empathic interviewer. It’s like going...Read full review »

So wonderful. Each episode is thoughtful and insightful. The interview technique is sweet and slow and deeply emotional. Thank you for doing this. It’s a highlight of my podcasts subscriptions.

I love the idea of getting insights from those who have lived longer. This podcast is consistently well executed and Max does a great job asking empathetic questions in each interview. I am so grateful for this podcast and for everyone making it happen. These are some of the best interviews I’ve ever heard because they really feel like intimate, honest conversations with exactly the kind of people I want to be hearing from. I am always in a better mood when listening!

Enjoying your podcast so much, realising again and again 70 is the start of the rest of your life and you are more than ever able to make the most of it. Especially Madeleine Albright is so inspiring that I listened to her over and over again

What a wasted opportunity. Continuously asks guests variations of the same question which resembles something like "How did that make you feel?" His interview of Dolores Huerta is a prime example. He asked her half a dozen times of how she "found her power". Enough! Move on! She...Read full review »

The interviews are well thought out and well conducted. The host, Max Linsky, does a great job. I look forward to the podcast each week.
WAcartman via Apple Podcasts · United States of America · 08/10/21
Linsky’s best interview is with his father. From there it is down hill. Too focussed on the ‘achievements’ of his guests before 70 and not enough on what changes (physically, emotionally, in their sexual / family relationships as they go into each decade). Death is rarely mentioned. The way their...Read full review »

Love the guests. Wish Max would allow the guest more grace. Allow a patient pause for reflection. A window for quiet unexpected self reflection, by following the guests lead. Lovely people with a gift of reflection of a life well lived. Let it be a hopeful message of courage of a life well lived.

I love this idea. I appreciate the interviewer. But some of his questions are just boring and even the persons he is interviewing are like “What!?”. This show has been so insightful and a true blessing for me and my friends who are of a certain age. I love that the conversations cover topics that people in their late 60’s need to hear. I also love the celebs who have been chosen so far. Looking forward to upcoming segments.
