Deeply researched and thoughtfully put together
I really like this podcast. It explains European history by focusing on the broad context and lead up to, as well as the aftermath of, important battles. The production quality is not perfect (it’s also not as bad as other reviews would have you believe), but it’s obvious that a lot of research and thought goes into every episode / series, and there’s no advertising or digressions into random subjects. A fine trade off as far as I’m concerned.

More reviews of A History of Europe, Key Battles
This is so difficult to listen to as the sound quality is horrific. I love history and would love to know the details listed in the descriptions but I cannot listen because of the audio quality. What a shame.

Fantastic balanced review of key events in European military history. Alongside wider understanding of the countries/factions at the time of the event. So glad I found this podcast!

I have found this series quite addictive. It is well researched, thoughtfully presented, flows logically and above all is interesting and informative. I look forward to the next 850 years worth!
