People covering video games tendency to be hyperbolic, and yell about things that are largely inconsequential. This is a show wherein two adults with media literacy discuss what they liked or disliked about a game while relating it to other pieces of media. There are also jokes

In the first two minutes of that episode they had a kitchen ambience and I heard a Wilhelm scream and dishes clattering to the ground and for some reason I laughed so hard

about just about anything. Video games are as good as any jumping off point. I came from Fireballs and was tickled to find more STUFF. They’re putting good things out in the world. ❤️

This is a very fun podcast to listen to!

Gary and Kole sometimes discuss games of varying quality and spin off into amusing tangents unless the game is secretly good. Mostly, the games are bad and the banter is great.

Wacky and often off the rails but you will probably come away entertained. Truthfully, I care more about the off-topic content than the games themselves. Abject Suffering might be my favorite Duckfeed show.

This podcast used to be one of the best, but nowadays it’s just them briefly mentioning the title of a game before going into the mundanity of their lives or virtue signaling. A shame 😫

They had an ad for Raid Garbage Game... I have lost all respect for you Gary and Cole. This network has ceased to be quality content. Don’t waste your time on this podcast.

After listening for years I have realized that I somehow never put in a review for this show. In short, it is great. I can’t say it is for everyone, but I can say confidently that it works for me. Gary and Kole pul off being unprofessional in a professional way in this show. Just listen and have...Read full review »

Having just gone back and listened to every episode in order, I can honestly say that Abject Suffering is one of the best podcasts, not just on Duckfeed, but in all of podcasts. Many a bad day were saved by Gary and Kole making me laugh till I cried. Give it a listen!

Start with the KGB episode from Jan/Feb-ish of 2020, it had me in near tears. Otherwise, this show is very funny, worth subscribing to and using it as a great distraction from that long commute.

This show might be about bad games and as the description says, the horrors of daily life, but I put it on when I need a pick-me-up. I was already a fan of the network and the hosts from shows like Watch Out For Fireballs and Bonfireside Chat, but hearing these two very insightful games-knowing...Read full review »

These two fellas have the most hilarious banter! 10% of the show is game info, 90% of the show is hilarious conversation about miscellaneous subjects, 100% of the show is awesome.

Couple of goofy dorks playing awful games and plumbing the depths of McDonalds lore. Highly recommend.

Gary and Kole have wonderful friend chemistry and two incredibly positive people. I cannot recommend this show highly enough.

This podcast makes me look like a fool as I stand, lips twisted, shaking on the bus in peals of (sometimes) silent laughter. Just great.

I can’t get through a week without an episode of Abject Suffering! This show is a free-form riot, and I never get past an episode without breaking into tears laughing least once. This is no snobbish takedown of notoriously bad games- it’s more like the joy of binging on the worst fast food in...Read full review »

Abject Suffering undoubtedly feels more loose and zoomed out than Watch out for Fireballs or Bonfireside Chat. It’s a definite change of pace, but with a good balance of structured discussion and hilarious banter. If you like the other shows on the network, Gary and Kole don’t disappoint. First and foremost, this is a comedy show. If you see a 39 minute episode, it’s not gonna be 39 minutes on, for example, the game adaptation of Bram Stoker’s Dracula. Why? Because games like that don’t deserve 39 minutes of anyone’s time, even if they’re getting dunked on mercilessly. But never...Read full review »

Posting to nullify garbage people reviews. Love my boys

Using a (usually but not always) terrible game as a starting point, the boys spiral out into comedy bits, cultural discussions, hilarious (and sometimes poignant) personal anecdotes, and tons and tons of GameFAQS Gold. Two good guys. One good show.

Gary and Kole are extremely good boys, and you should give love to all of their podcasts--as well as money to their Patreons (and various side projects as well). I'm a loyal Duckfeed listener of many years, and this is the show I look forward to the most. Come for the increasingly bizarre...Read full review »

As others have said, it’s the same stellar production value of all duckfeed shows, with the two best hosts from the channel. Funny, relatable, and who doesn’t love to hate bad games? My only complaint is length! It feels as though sometimes there is to much focus on the shorter length and before...Read full review »

Sometimes they talk about the bad (or not-so-bad) game, sometimes they wax philosophical. Sometimes they talk about everything BUT the game. I’ve always been fascinated with terrible media and this show scratches that itch. It’s funny, so very off topic, and sprinkled with astute observations. Best show on the network, keep up the good work.
