Like a strange, comforting blanket
The amusing and insightful guys behind Watch out for Fireballs have unleased their incredible powers of digression to bring you reviews based on the title of some awful videogames. To be more accurate, typically the game is just an inspiration to discuss life, bodily functions, politics, and other, better media. I've listened to the vast majority of the episodes at this point and I can only call the experience "comforting". Absurd as it sounds, this is a pleasant, low impact, low buy in, amusing podcast. Just finished a terrifying novel and not ready to move on to the stressful thriller audiobook? Chill out with 2 or 23 episodes talking about videogames that I'm sure people worked very hard on, and then felt bad about.Read full review »

This is without question my favorite comedy podcast that is nominally about bad games. Once you accept that the game is generally just a conversation starter, every episode of Abject Suffering has something...special to offer. A fantastic time every week.

They play bad games, old games, unique games, weird games, DOS games, licensed games, and occasionally some actual good games. So you don't have to.
