A Good Show That Breaks My Listening Rules
I have a few rules for the podcasts I listen to. First is that I should never have to think about what a host's face looks like during orgasm. Second is that I don't want to hear any improv unless that is the basis of the show. Last, I don't like when the host(s) spend too much time talking about their own show and spend excessive time handwringing about how they will be perceived. This show violates all of those rules, but I'm still a regular listener. Abject Suffering survives on its digressions. They get very weird, frequently gross, and strangely specific, but that is what makes the podcast interesting. Hearing odd and honest conversations that spiral off of bad games is entertaining. My favorite podcasts (at least in some part) capture what it's like to be a person. This podcast does that.Read full review »

A great side project by the folks that do Watch Out for Fireballs. If you like to hear funny comments about bad games, this is great!

This is without question my favorite comedy podcast that is nominally about bad games. Once you accept that the game is generally just a conversation starter, every episode of Abject Suffering has something...special to offer. A fantastic time every week.
