“I really looked forward to this and wanted to like it but, while I understand the Beeb wanting to jump on the bandwagon of Serial and the amazing S-Town, this is poor at best.
The structure and storytelling is weak, the music cheesy. The episodes are far too short and a lot of that is taken up with telling us what'll be in the episode, repeating that it's a Five Live podcast, and then telling us what'll be in the next episode. This is incredibly irritating!
Sorry, Five Live, there are a lot of podcasts out there of extremely high quality - whether the beautiful novelistic S-Town or the stunningly produced required listening of The Daily - and yours just doesn't cut the mustard.”Read full review »

“Such short episodes and much of each is taken up with a rehash of previous episodes, recapping information. I've not found this to be particularly engaging or interesting unfortunately. It's a shame as a feel there is a story behind this podcast.”Read full review »

“The case sounds fascinating but the BBC have butchered the story telling of it.
Only 15-20 minute episodes are hugely unsatisfactory. Constant flashback reminders and interruptions so you never settle in a sequence. A poor man's version of the great true crime podcasts. Gutted after the hype.”Read full review »
