“I'm struggling to understand why 5 Live decided to make this. It's weak and painfully clunky. It bounces along the top of a story that has been told before, more than once. When you hold this up against S Town it is paper thin, clumsy and embarrassing. The BBC have simply attempted to jump on the bad wagon fuelled by not much more than a southern drawl. “I have listened to 6 episodes and am not bothered about listening to the rest. It is very formulaic and a poor copy of the other true crime podcasts. It feels unauthentic, like they are trying to create an 'issue' where there isn't one!

At least a third of every episode is just repeating stuff you've heard or the title in different voices or the 911 call.
