Should we blame the dna test kits?
I think we should force the DNA test kits to issue warnings on the outside of the box. Its like cigarette warning labels. But, instead of warning about cancer, this label would state that your life may be ruined or completely upended by something so shocking and unexpected you could never be prepared. You may learn that your mom is not your mom, your dad had an affair or you were adopted! People give DNA test kits as gifts. Would you wrap a box of cigarettes and give it to your niece? The DNA tv ads show joyous people running in fields of green in Ireland. For me, my hair started coming out, I couldn’t sleep for days and days and couldn’t breathe. Just like when you smoke cigarettes.
