I stumbled on this podcast after finding Therapy for Black Girls and I found myself loving how, for lack of a better word, unpolished it is. I love that she talks to you like you are someone she met out and about instead of it feeling like a production. She is real and open and allows herself to be human and make mistakes in real time. For some reason I find myself companioning certain episodes with my therapy to feel like I can receive the message. I’m sure that drives my therapist crazy but it helps me. I feel less alone with some of the subjects and her retreats are the only ones that I have considered going to even with my social anxiety. You are doing the work and I couldn’t be more grateful. Also, your son is adorable!!! I saw him on your YouTube the other day LOL.

Though I'm not black I do suffer from love/fantasy addiction and codependence and I cannot thank you enough for the insightful convrsations and topics. I often find myself turning to this podcast in moments of extreme self-doubt and loathing. Thank you for your presence and love.Read full review »
