“Ever since I started playing Paradox Grand Strategy games, such as the Crusader Kings series, my interest in history has expanded exponentially. This is especially true for the Byzantine Empire, a large mediterranean powerhouse that I discovered through the aformentioned games. This interest eventually led me to search for more information through books, the internet and, eventually, this podcast. It is truly one of the most accessible and compelling podcasts on the Roman Empire I've come across. Each discussion leaves me with more insight into the empire's culture, religion, and history, as well as insights into the academic world and how it operates.
