“I listen to several episodes while I eat breakfast and do the dishes. It keeps me company. So much so that I must "switch back to English" when I go out an meet my friends. I had lots of German friends when I lived in Munich (1979). They were very patient with my 2000 word vocabulary but insisted that I learn to pronounce Munich like they do. It was a challenge. Also I had to learn the Bavarian pronunciation for radishes which they and I loved. I am glad for the help you give with tricky pronunciations.
I had to translate Heidi comic books for my 8 year old daughter which also was a challenge. I hope your culture expert discusses it and the Struwwelpeter, which we laughed at. So far I have found only one German to talk to North of Seattle, WA. She says she knows others. So wish me luck.”Read full review »
