Hearing this content is a great feeling for me. The earth needs us to become educated and supportive of how to keep trees alive!!!! This planet needs trees-not religion or money. We need people who can help create the future as a better place. Thank you. Plus- you are super sexy smart. 😜🌲

I’d love the show if they didn’t constantly try to find a way to put down Christianity.

Hi Casey and Alex! I stumbled onto this podcast by way of Alie Ward’s Ologies and I’m working my way through the back catalogue. I consider myself a science and nature enthusiast and with each episode so far, I come away with increased biological and historical tree knowledge while being...Read full review »

I just discovered this podcast and already LOVE IT! I am an Aromatherapist and do a scent stroll in my local park which is also a Victorian cemetery ( part of the magnificent seven in London) and walk around the grounds and connect the conifer trees with their traditional, historical and...Read full review »

One of my most favourite podcasts I’ve ever listened to! It’s the perfect thing to listen to if you want to 1) learn something really interesting and 2) be in a positive mindset for the rest of the day. Listening to Alex and Casey talk is such a breath of fresh air in a world full of things that...Read full review »

Loved the show so signed up for paid extras, including the sticker of the month club- what a mistake. They are constantly starting up new things for what appears to be lots of reasons to constantly ask for more money but the stickers are 3 months behind! The communications are completely...Read full review »

I’ve been listening for about half a year now and I make sure to catch every new episode and have listened to some of the previous recordings as well. One comment I really appreciate is on the last episode there was mention of the value in community college. That is the route I took when I went...Read full review »

I could listen to Casey and Alex read a grocery list and it would be fascinating. Witty, interesting, and they know what they’re talking about. Makes my drive to work fun - I especially love Casey’s enthusiasm and energy.

This podcast is my #1 favorite podcast. I look forward to the day it posts every week. I let my grandson who is 9 listen because he loves trees so much. We just fastforward sometimes. But as an adult I love your real banter even if it is not good for the kids.

I love that these guys actually care about the correct pronunciation of the words they use!!! 👍🏽

I came here for educational deep dives on trees: identifying features, native/non-native regions, their cultural history, biological importance, any interesting ecological interactions, fun facts, etc. but that’s not what they consistently deliver. Episodes vary from talking in great length...Read full review »

I heard Casey on the Ologies podcast and loved that episode so when he mentioned he had his own podcast I had to listen. I love how interesting they make every tree sound and I especially love their seasonal episodes. I recommend this podcast to anyone I can !!!!

I started listening to Completely Arbortrary pretty early on in the podcasts’ history and haven’t stopped tuning into the heir episodes since. It’s always my go-to recommendation for someone needing a fun listen to break up the monotony of their day. I’ve always been a huge nerd about all things...Read full review »

These two have… somehow… harnessed the magic of science/natural science interpretation. I work in invasive species removal with a focus on plants and restoring native species. So, identification and knowledge of species is absolutely critical. I always struggled with grasses, ferns, and trees....Read full review »

The title says it all. Loved Casey Clapp on Oligies. Casey has enough energy and personality to be a host on his own in fact enough of both for several hosts. Listening to this podcast makes me so happy, I have a grin on my face the whole episode through. It’s not always easy to find people enthusiastic about trees in my day-to-day life, so hanging out with Casey and Alex is like a happy little tree party every episode!

I don’t really like the pointless banter that keeps interrupting any interesting facts on the tree at hand. The one guy repeats the comments of the other guy. It’s annoying and not interesting to your audience! I do like their energy, but they both sound like 2 middle school dudes who don’t know...Read full review »

Generally good information about trees. Definitely have very narrow and biased liberal feelings. If you’re tired of hearing people use every opportunity to whine about America, forestry or anything very typical of very basic and predictable Portland views, I’d skip this podcast.

If you are obsessed with trees like me or just like learning about nature and history, this is a really informative podcast! Yess here it comes, the uptight curmudgeonly review. This podcast has great substance at the core. I always get a great takeaway botanical fact or 5 to share from each eps.
