“Oh, everyone's a critic. Even those who have no idea about what they're critiquing.
This is a cultured panel, but seemingly cultureless outside the realms of pretention. I'd love to believe they could have a well-rounded education in all-things cultural, but when they bag on George Carlin in the wake of his death without understanding the cultural impact he had on the future of comedy, they lost me. Why would a panel praise Lenny Bruce as a landmark of artist pushing boundaries without understanding that Carlin was in-step with the Bruce during his entire career. Short-sighted, guys. Please hang up your "cultural" credentials.

“I look forward to this podcast every week. Usual format is to choose 3 current topics/events/people in "culture" (broadly defined, usually NY-based), do a little homework the night before, and chat about each topic for 10 minutes. They go astray if they pick a topic none of them...”Read full review »
