“Thank you so much for digging into this topic of fasting. My history is very similar to Judy’s, and I often feel unheard, that I should just magically get over the remnants of decades of disordered eating, torturous amounts of exercise, laxative abuse, starving, bingeing, purging. I’ve done it all. I never got thin enough no matter how much I tried. I was in in-patient rehab twice for disordered eating, the second time in my early thirties. Very very low carb since 2009; carnivore for 4-1/2 months. I’ve experienced some freedom in these years.
Carnivore is amazing for me. But I still get triggered and feel unheard when I am pressured to feast and fast. Feasting triggers a lot of mental chatter and some panic in me. I have figured out that I do best when I eat until I’m satisfied, then I eat again when I get hungry, regardless of the clock. I got emotional with Judy when she talked about her history, and resonated with everything she said.
