She lost me at "It's okay to abandon your daughter"
I hit "unsubscribe" when she gave a woman permission to ignore the 17-year-old daughter she had abandoned as a child. She panders to today's victim culture and ignores personal responsibility. It's always someone else's fault. Ann Landers would have told that woman to snap out of it, get to a therapist, work out her issues, and then figure out a way to bring that child back into her life. Mallory is hilarious, but also dispenses excellent advice with sensitivity and compassion. Episode 7 (with Carvell Wallace) is a standout. For me, this podcast is worth the price of Slate Plus.
