It’s difficult for me to accept how much this show has changed over the years. I miss the video game reviews and discussion and I’m disappointed that they don’t cover games anymore—it wasn’t just Carolyn, Anita used to be a gamer too. The only time they’ve covered any games in the past year or...Read full review »

But please fix the mic volume issue on the latest (Dune) episode and re-upload it! I can’t be the only person who couldn’t listen to it because the switching between hosts—who were quiet—and guest—VERY loud—hurt my ears!

Terrific hosts. I don’t always agree with them but the conversations they start are important conversations to have. I thank them for making me more aware of others’ perspectives and for helping me better understand my own convictions.

This podcast is great! Also, charming. Listen to it!

Some of the analysis is decent. It would be nice to have a podcast like this (that thoughtfully critiques media) but is hosted by people who actually… like stuff. Anita hates most nerdy things. So, the whole “criticizing the media we love” thing is lost, because she’s usually just criticizing...Read full review »

So insightful and fun. I love the rapport, and the banter! I can’t talk about media I love without also talking about its flaws, and issues, especially as they pertain to larger societal problems, so this podcast is very validating. Highly recommend!!!

Thanks for a valuable—and entertaining—show. Your thoughtful analysis never disappoints. You discuss incredibly important things, and I’d love to say I’ve already thought about all of them on my own… but I haven’t. Such is my privilege as a middle-aged white dude. As for all the fragile, whiny...Read full review »

The Fem Freq crew are doing a just outstanding job in demonstrating how we can enjoy a wide variety of media but don't necessarily have to agree on all liking the same things, and also how to look critically at the things we do enjoy and understand why sometimes there are problems with it,...Read full review »

Let me say up front: I love their personalities, and it’s clear these are 3 smart ladies with a lot of smarts and good chemistry. So why only 3 stars? Tl;dr- it’s fun when you want them to rip apart a problematic movie or show; but, much like CinemaSins, don’t expect them to warmly lift up...Read full review »

Anita Sarkeesian? I thought she died? Or at least withered away from the internet. I guess a leech will always find its way.

Whenever I feel alone with my feminist opinions about popculture stuff, FemFreq Radio makes me feel like I am home again. With the activist friends that the internet gave me and that understand. With people who say what they mean, with strong opinions. And who are funny, caring and empathetic at...Read full review »

I started listening to this podcast in its younger days and it has only gotten better! Each host has a unique perspective and is willing to dig deep into media. I don’t always agree with their opinions, but they always give me something to think about. This is a great podcast for people who want...Read full review »

Kinda toxic, I get what they mean but nahh chief there’s better ways for this message, my mom is a strong independent woman and she didn’t do it whining about it on a podcast, she put in work to get ahead in life not wanting attention but seeking success

They’re filled with hate although it only comes out in words at a time but since they’re feminist and “progressive” they’re aloud to be hateful to whatever they disagree with and get a pass.

I’d say this podcast is garbage but they say one mans trash is another mans treasure, and this podcast couldn’t be anyone’s treasure. Both hilarious and insightful, Feminist Frequency Radio makes me question the pop culture we so often mindlessly consume, all the while throwing in some belly laughs along them way. Also, Caroline definitely needs her own film podcast/ channel!

I don’t listen to every single episode but I love this pod. I love all the different opinions shared. It’s funny informative and fun. It’s wonderful outlet for women like me who don’t know a lot of feminists in person and is sometimes afraid to share their thoughts about feminism. Thank you ladies.

Nothing against these women, but their podcast is kinda reductive, it’s like how Pod Save America is with politics. Carolyn and Anita especially have a hard time viewing different mediums outside of their own narrow mindsets. While I do enjoy a lot of the discussion, their two viewpoints are why...Read full review »

A solid, good podcast especially on the production since it is really good! The opinions/perspectives often shared might rub some people the wrong way but personally I learn a lot and enjoy it. It’s not about agreeing, it is about listening and provoking thought.

It’s that kind that demonizes men and masculinity. Be prepared to hear “straight white male” said in that way that you know is accompanied by eye rolls and an annoyed affectation.

Love this podcast. Found FemFreq via the ‘Tropes Vs. Women in video games’ series on you tube and was so excited to hear they also had a podcast! Listen to it, and remember it is necessary and possible to be critical of media whilst enjoying and consuming it 👍🏻

I really look forward to this podcast. Not only does it consider popular culture but it gives ideas for games books music and shows I would not otherwise hear about.

My new favorite podcast. A deep dive into feminism and how it relates to pop culture from diverse perspectives. And a good place for media recommendations. I’ve been a fan of Anita’s since her YouTube series.

I love these three :) They do amazing work and all give unique perspectives on the media they cover. I wish there were more games discussions, but honestly they can talk about anything and I'd love it! It's definitely my favourite podcast. I feel like I learn something every time.Read full review »

I’d first of all like to take a moment to say that Caroline, you are the best ever. Secondly, I love you three, and thanks for discussing content in this frank and wildly necessary manner.

You can play it safe with other podcasts but if you want a show that challenges you, a show that is a complex and intimate take on gender equality vs. pop culture that’s also full of honesty and smart snarky humor you can’t get any better than this. Do yourself a favor and tune in.
