Twinelle, a former GB sprinter, and the founder and owner of the sportswear brand TF1 Athletic joins the pod to discuss sportswear.
Female athletes and sportswear. The knife edge between performance, looks, comfort, and social acceptability. There is an increasing divide and controversy amongst what female athletes put, or should or should not put onto their bodies. In particular with the rise of social media there is a shift from sport being performance focused, to sport being athlete focused.
So what is controversial, what is okay, what is unacceptable... There is a lot to discuss, and the area of female athlete sportswear is one which is over speculated but under talked about. During this episode we discuss some of the controversies around sportswear, and some of the view points on it.
